Sanford Science Education Center
Dangermond Keane have prepared a Concept Design for the Sanford Center for Science Education, a remodel of the historic Yates Education Building at the Sanford Laboratory campus. Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, the design adapts the former “dry” mining facility to use as an education center, with classrooms, education offices, lecture space, and break-out meeting rooms, while maintaining the historic character of the original building. Additions to the structure bring the building into compliance with current codes and provide enhanced entrances and identity to the building.
