Offices for Interpreting Services

Gallaudet Interpreting Services (GIS) is a renowned American Sign Language interpreting agency that serves the Gallaudet community and the general Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Consolidating the entire organization in to one contiguous space for the first time, Dangermond Keane is designing the new offices for 50 staff interpreters as well as the GIS scheduling and mentoring departments. In addition to presenting a new public face to the university, this project will be the first office environment designed on campus using the DeafSpace design guidelines that DKa helped develop.
