Moss Street House

This post-Katrina remodel located on historic Bayou St. John transformed a dark warren of rooms into a modern plan that emphasizes the connection to the Bayou. The new facade and porch echo the 18th century French houses which still define the architectural pattern of the neighborhood. An addition to the back of the house provides storage, laundry, screened porch and the owner’s second floor home-office which peeks over the roof in the manner of an historic New Orleans camelback house.
